Shawn is amazing.

I had just moved from NYC and was nervous about finding a good LA headshot photographer.  After numerous recommendations naming Shawn, I decided to book a session. I just shot last week, and color me impressed.

I was incredibly stressed prior to my shoot, because despite being comfortable in front of a video camera, the second it becomes still one I tend to get awkward.  Due to this, and probably other factors, I've never felt I had a headshot that was truly "me/my type".  Numerous CDs in the past  told me I was so much more interesting in person, and that the shot I had lacked personality.

Shawn solved all my problems.  He makes you feel incredibly comfortable.  He tells you EXACTLY what to do, so there is no room for mistakes, awkwardness, getting in your head, or confusion.  He directs you and is hands on.  Which is exactly what I needed.  It might feel odd during it, but let me tell you, your shots will come back looking fantastic.  I have SO SO SO many options to choose from that are SO varied, SO personality filled, and so character/type driven.  I've already had multiple friends comment on how great these shots are.  They blow my past ones out of the water.

I cannot recommend Shawn enough!

The level of detail and professionalism from Joseph is incredible. I've had a great time with him during shoots before and always come back to him for more quick shoots. The quality and price cannot be beat! Joseph is also very flexible and very happy to accommodate my needs and wants during a shoot. I cannot recommend Joseph Daniels photography enough!

Shawn is a great photographer. He is patient and punctual. He has a great eye and when he arrives he shows up with everything from a light amount of base make up, to professional photography lighting and of course a wonderful eye for finding the right angel to shoot you in.

Shawn makes you feel very comfortable as he shoots you, before you know it when your working with shawn you have shoot hundreds of pictures with a variety of different looks. Shawn had a phenomenal idea with me to take pictures of me running at him, wow the shots came out great!!!

One of the best things about Shawn is he lets you keep all of the pictures he takes of you, not just the 3 or 4 he pics for you. I literally got sent just a couple days after our shoot hundreds of photos.

I would recommend Shawn to anyone wanting a punctual, professional photographer with a great eye that makes you feel comfortable and the shoot fun.

Thank you so much Shawn, I can't wait for my next excuse for a photo shoot with you!
